2021 Block 7 Syrah

“The Bald Men’s Shed”

So named for my wonderful cousin Nick who came down from Newcastle and gave me 2 weeks of his life to help with the start of vintage and the fermentation of this wine. He wasn’t asked, he just showed up on his way through and decided to stay when he found out I was injured. He, like me, is a Bald Man!

A vibrant, medium bodied spicy Syrah from a long cool vintage. Dried herbs, Anise, whole bunch lift. A clean palate of darker red fruits, spice, plushness, and length. Savoury, mouth filling tannins, with a hint of cigar box. Lingering. Classic cool climate Syrah, this wine will benefit from a few years cellaring. If drinking now, decanting is a must.
